Minimalist Running Shoes

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Minimalist running shoes are a whole new class of running shoes that is growing substantially in market share from their popularity. A minimalist running shoe is considered a shoe that is devoid of the cushioning and support roles of traditional running shoes and does not heave a differential between the forefoot and rearfoot. There is some debate if the minimalist running shoes being marketed as this, actually do as many of them do have small amount of these features. A pure minimalist running shoe would be one that is nothing more than a covering for the foot and allows the foot to function in such a way that its actions mimic the barefoot state.
